2017 Summer Trip Part 3- New York

Next day after we arrived from New Haven, we had a picnic at Central Park with dad and mom’s friend. It’s nice to see all of them after 3 years, plus meeting some new young faces.

On Monday we started touring the City. First stop was the new Calatrava Terminal in Lower Manhattan.

Kids used the subways to go to all the places, like how dad and mom used to commute.

We stopped by Bryant Park on our way to the New York Public Library and Kinokuniya, as well as Grand Central to look at the main hall. We rewarded ourself with some concrete from Shake Shack at the food court.

Natural History Museum, where they saw the newly discovered Titanosaur.

We stayed with Uncle Narin when we were in New York. Cayden and Kyle had a great time playing with Kaise and Meisa.

We had Lunch with Uncle Alex, Auntie Jacky and Olivia. Boys tried mini golf for the very first time.

We planned to go the Transit Museum but it was closed. Instead we went and rode the Staten Island Ferry. It was wonder ride and we got close to the Statue of Liberty, but the boys was scared of the boat’s horn.

We also had dinner with Aunty Cissy and Uncle Jay.

On the last day in the City, we sent mom to the Long island Railway Station before we head to the airport. She would continued her way to a conference at DC. We decided to flew Virgin America because it was bought by Alaskan Airline, and the name will be phased-out in a few years. Flight was delayed a few hours because of a storm near by. Dad was lucky to ordered probably the last PB&J sandwiches for the kids for dinner.
