LMA Reunion Trip in LA (with families)

After many years of planning, the Tsuis, Chiens, and Yeungs were finally able to have a reunion in LA this year. The last reunion was in Cape Cope in 2010, so this was the first time all the kids got together.

We started our trip at the Universal Studio. We had dinner at the Universal City Walk on the first night. On the second day, we visited the Universal Studio. We were all thrilled about the nearly opened Nintendo World. All the young people (teens and tweens) were excited to purchase a watch to play the games. It was fun, but the park was also really crowded. Afterward, we went to the Harry Potter World and got on some rides, such as Jurassic World, Simpsons, and Mummy. Abby injured her leg prior to the trip, so she needed to walk on crutches. However, she was able to get parity in many rides. At night, we stayed for the light show projected onto the Hogwart Castle.

On the third day, we had lunch at the Original Farmers Market and drove up the mountain to see the Hollywood Sign. We then drove to Santa Ana and stayed in an Airbnb for the rest of the trip. The Airbnb had a pool and plenty of space for the kids to play.

We spent a day at the beach, and the young people took a private group surfing lesson. Abby found an escape room nearby for all the young people (including Amy and Michelle) to try out some wizardry powers. Since all three families were interested in baseball, we went to watch an Angels game. We were lucky to see Ohtani pitch that day. He threw 10K and made two home runs! That game was considered one of his best game so far. On the last day, the three dads went to a Rivian showroom so Robert could test drive its SUV.

Six days flew by very quickly! It was time to say goodbye! Hopefully, it will not take another 10 years for another reunion!

After the Tsuis and Yeungs left, we stayed for one more night to watch another Angels game because they were giving out Ohtani-Trout Bobblehead. We arrived there two hours before the game started and were surprised to find thousands of people already in line.
